Junaid Firdaus (he/him) is a transmasculine Bangladeshi butch lesbian writer who is passionate about dismantling capitalism, struggling in solidarity with all oppressed peoples from Turtle Island to the Global South, queer and trans liberation, and the creative’s role in making the revolution look irresistible. Firdaus loves to explore the connections between lesbianism and liberation through a variety of literature, from poetry to critical analyses of the cisheteropatriarchy. He has published work with Brown History, Moth Eaten Mag, and National Students for Justice in Palestine’s The Written Resistance. His most recent work will appear in the fourth issue of Femme Dyke Zine and is often also posted on his personal Substack publication, IN THE ERA OF BUTCH REVOLUTION (bidr0hikobi.substack.com).

In his free time, Firdaus gives back to his community via political education and mutual aid efforts. He believes in bringing together the people around him in radically loving one another to topple systems of oppression one day at a time. Firdaus is also an enthusiast of cats and the electric guitar.
